Angel Alumnus Marilyn Bailey will have her painting “Brian Smith, Artist” on display at this year’s Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibit in London.
Marilyn graduated Angel in 2013 with this particular portrait having been inspired while in school. “It began in a series of three evening sessions in Florence in 2012,” she writes. “It was such a terrific pose I knew I wanted to finish it…The hands were fascinating as was this engaging, part shadowed expression.”

The Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition seeks to celebrate the best in contemporary portraiture.
